Evening light and alluring panorama from road B10, Isle of Man.

The Isle of Man (Manx: Ellan Vannin), otherwise known simply as Mann (Manx: Mannin), is a self-governing British Crown dependency located in the Irish Sea between the islands of Great Britain and Ireland.
Hills stretch obliquely across the Island and just one mountain, Snaefell (the Snowy Mountain), stands at 2,036 feet (621 metres). Well defined valleys lie between, and around the Island’s flat northern plain are long sandy beaches. These contrast markedly with the rocky cliffs and sheltered bays around the rest of the coastline, which is over 100 miles (160km) long.

Slieve League, Co Donegal, Ireland

Slieve League sea cliffs and Giant’s Chair and Table stacks, Bunglass Point, Co. Donegal, Ireland.

The Slieve League (Irish: Sliabh Liag) cliffs are located on the coast of County Donegal. With a maximum height of 601 metres, the Slieve League are the island of Ireland’s highest sea cliffs (the highest sea cliff of all Ireland is Croaghaun with 668 m, on Achill Island, County Mayo).
The view of the Slieve League cliffs at Bunglass Point is absolutely wonderful. The two sea stacks in front of the cliffs are called the Giant’s Chair and Table because of their shape and dimensions.

Faroe Isands: Vagar / Idyllium

Around the beautiful Vágar island, Faroe Islands.

Vágar is the third largest island of the Faroes (after Streymoy and Eysturoy). The island shape is very distinct since it resembles a dog’s head: Sørvágsfjørður is the mouth and the Fjallavatn lake is the eye.
The terrain is less dramatic than that of Streymoy and the northern islands: green valleys, patches of cultivated land around the villages that are clustered on the south coast and dozens of small rivers and streams flowing down the rounded hills. Vágar has vast expanses of untouched wilderness expecially the uninhabited north of the island. The only main road comes from Streymoy through a tunnel and conducts to the main villages. From Sørvágur the view become breathtakingly beautiful with the ocean, the island of Tindhólmur with its peaks and verticality, Gáshólmur and the two drangar (freestanding sea stacks), until the last village, Gásadalur, and the panorama over the mysterious Mykines that is the westernmost of the 18 main islands of the Faroe Archipelago.
The island is the location of the Faroes’ only airport so it’s the first to be seen by the visitors that come from the air. If the weather permits are clearly visible the dramatic vertical cliffs that form the southern edge of the island.
